She discusses her work as a scientific communicator, with a passion for Immunology, and its importance to the scientific community. As a strong advocate, she also stresses the importance of her presence in the medical field to ensure that the voice of her community is represented and heard while understanding that having a seat at the table offers her the ability to provide information and access to needed and often muted individuals. Dr. Martin offers both passion and professionalism to the field and has amazing desires for the future.
Dr. Ayana Martin earned her PhD in Molecular Medicine and Translational Science from Wake Forest University and a B.S. in Biology from Benedict College. With experience in academia, startup, and pharmaceutical/advertising industry, Dr. Martin is well-positioned to understand the language and priorities of each field.
